Provincial Preschool Autism Services
The PPAS is a partnership among IWK, Nova Scotia Health, Hearing and Speech Nova Scotia, and Autism Nova Scotia, providing family-centered services to preschoolers with autism across Nova Scotia. Services include clinical intake, care coordination, family and professional education, diagnostic assessments, autism interventions, and transition to school supports.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the PPAS Clinical Interventionist will work within an interprofessional team to provide services to preschool children (ages 0-6) with autism. Responsibilities include facilitating goal setting with families, conducting assessments, developing and implementing intervention programs, and contributing to family education. Supervision of Program Implementers involved in intervention delivery is also part of the role, guided by Clinical Leaders and an Autism Advanced Practice Leader.
Hours of Work
Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours/week with flexibility required, including some evenings and weekends.
