WHO WE ARE :

Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences, Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care and The Royal have established a partnership to share an Electronic Health Record (EHR) environment. This unique grouping of mental health facilities makes up the Mental Health - Health Information System Cluster (MH-HIS Cluster) who provides clinical opportunities to improve patient outcomes and support collaboration in developing and implementing best practices, evidence-based care and common clinical standards. The partnership is leveraging common technology, nomenclature and standardized processes and achieving cost efficiencies and system (practice and operational) efficiency. The MH-HIS Cluster also provides enhanced opportunities to collaborate on and support mental health research aimed at improving patient care and enhancing best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED & PREFERRED

  • P os t- seco n d a r y e duca t i o n in c li n i ca l , hea l t h sc i e n ce, i n f o r m ation t e c hno l o g y and o r h ea l t h i n f o rm a t i cs .
  • Undergraduate degree and Registered with professional college and in good standing ..
  • Minimum of three years clinical informatics experience .
  • Experience in workflow and process redesign an asset .
  • Strong project management, quality improvement and change management skills .
  • Demonstrated success in supporting healthcare staff in the use of electronic clinical applications .
  • Able to function well within a team setting and independently .
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, organizational and communications skills .
  • Ability to actively demonstrate role competencies and leadership .
  • Proven good attendance record with capabilities of maintaining this same standard .
  • MEDITECH experience an asset .
