Job summary

Able Innovations is seeking a Clinical Implementation Specialist to train hospital staff in Toronto on our powered transfer platform and to serve as the on-site expert during launches. You will help clinicians adopt technology safely and efficiently.

This role requires 2+ years of clinical hospital experience, strong teaching ability, and willingness to travel across North America, supporting the Customer Success Team and reducing staff injuries.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of clinical hospital experience.
  • Registered nursing or healthcare clinician background.
  • Ability to teach groups and speak to peers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on-site training for hospital staff on Able equipment.
  • Provide go-live support during shifts to ensure confidence with new tech.
  • Translate technical features into clinical benefits for staff.
  • Monitor adoption and encourage hesitant staff to adopt new workflow.
  • Report site feedback to Able Innovations HQ to improve the product.

Location: Reports to Toronto, ON

Experience: Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience in a hospital setting (Med/Surg, ICU, or ER preferred); primary background as a nurse practitioner, aide, porter, OT, PT, PSW or any healthcare clinician role preferred. Experience as a preceptor, charge nurse, or clinical educator is a huge plus. You must be comfortable speaking to groups and teaching peers.

Travel frequency for this role is between 50%-75% within North America.

About The Position

Are you a healthcare clinician looking to leverage your clinical experience in a new, innovative way? Able Innovations is seeking dynamic individuals from the healthcare industry to join our Customer Success Team.

As an Clinical Implementation Specialist you will be providing care for the caregivers. You will serve as the on-site expert, training hospital staff on how to use our cutting-edge technology to improve safety and efficiency. You will represent us as our boots-on-the-ground representative during critical product launches and implementation phases.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, education and human connection.

This role is based in Toronto, ON, with frequent (50%-75%) local and regional travel to healthcare facilities in Canada and the USA. You will be the face of Able Innovations in your territory, with support from our Toronto HQ.

Individuals with current contractual work as nurses, porters or relevant healthcare roles, who are interested in gaining management experience on the side, are encouraged to apply for this opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • On-Site Training: Lead hands-on training sessions for hospital staff (nurses, porters, techs) on the safe and effective use of Able Innovations equipment.
  • Go-Live Support: Provide "at-the-elbow" support during shift changes and peak hours to ensure staff feel confident using the new technology in real-time.
  • Clinical Advocacy: Bridge the gap between engineering and nursing. Translate technical features into clinical benefits (e.g., "Here is how this device helps you turn a patient with zero back strain").
  • Adoption Monitoring: Observe usage on the floor, identify barriers to adoption, and gently encourage hesitant staff to try the new workflow.
  • Feedback Loop: Report site-specific feedback, bugs, or wins back to the Able Innovations headquarters to help us improve our product.

  • Experienced in clinical education, implementation, or client support in healthcare settings.
  • A clear communicator-comfortable leading both group demos and 1-on-1 support.

  • Open to frequent travel across North America.
Qualifications

  • Valid G or G2 driver's license and eligibility for cross-border travel (US).
