Position Information
Clinical Ethics Fellow (1-Year Term):
Clinical ethics fellows are full-time trainees preparing for careers in clinical ethics, working under the supervision of experienced ethicists. They engage in ethics consultations, policy development, and education across hospital and community care settings. Fellows participate in hands-on training, gradually gaining independence while supporting patients, staff, and organizations with ethically complex issues. The role includes significant involvement with community healthcare partners, reflecting the diverse ethical challenges across the care continuum.
Temporary until approximately August 31, 2026.
Rotation/Shifts
Days, 8 hour shifts.

Basic Requirements
- Master's degree in Ethics, Bioethics, Law, Health Care Services, Health Care Provider or other related field;
- Critical analysis and reasoning related to ethics ;
- Good interpersonal communication skills ;
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders ;
- Access to own vehicle, and ability to travel required .
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. Degree in Philosophy or Ethics ;
- Experience working in a clinical environment;
- Experience with a practicum in health care ethics;
- Knowledge of health law, professional standards;
- Knowledge of health care system;
- Knowledge of medical terminology;
- Proficiency in English and French - oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
