Division: 1000 Islands Addiction Treatment Centre

Position Status: Full-Time Permanent

Location: Mallorytown, ON

About Us: CATC is Canada’s largest network of privately operated addiction treatment centres. We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Director to lead our clinical team and clinical support staff team, in maintaining the highest clinical care standards while fostering an inclusive and compassionate environment. The position will be based at 1000 Island Addiction Treatment Centre.

Role Overview: As the Clinical Director, you will be a key leader in our organization, responsible for overseeing a multi-disciplinary team providing counselling services for patients under the guidance of the Chief Clinical Director, the Director of Clinical Programs and the Executive Director. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality care, optimal patient experiences, and alignment with our mission and vision. Your role is pivotal in maintaining strong community relationships with strategic referral partners and referring professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care:

  • Oversee all clinical services to patients throughout their treatment
  • Leadership and supervision of a multi-disciplinary team of addiction counsellors, with varying levels of experience and training, as well as supervise support staff
  • Promote an inclusive and diverse approach to patient care, considering individual and cultural needs
  • Lead case conferences and overall planning around client care daily
  • Facilitate and provide time for staff education (managers/care teams)

Clinical Quality Assurance

  • Ensure clinical quality aligns with CATC program standards, CARF policies, and our organizational mission and vision
  • Be an active and committed member on our Clinical Governance Committee.
  • Collaborate with other inpatient sites and Chief Clinical Director to review and update clinical and medical policies and procedures as needed to enhance the patient experience
  • Provide timely reporting as it relates to Key Performance Indicators

Resident Outcome Evaluation

  • Evaluate treatment outcomes through patient surveys and approved assessment tools, identifying trends and recommending improvements or follow-up care

Community Relationships

  • In collaboration with Business Development team, build and maintain positive community relationships with referral partners, clinical referents, and the local community

Key Qualifications

  • Previous experience and education as a counselor or psychotherapist, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in addiction treatment
  • Master’s Degree preferred but not required
  • Registration with a regulatory body, such as OCSWSSW, CRPO is an asset
  • Certified with CACCF is preferred
  • Training in CBT and DBT is an asset
  • At least three years of experience managing a team in a clinical or healthcare setting
  • In-patient addiction, trauma, or mental health treatment
  • Formal training in clinical supervision is an asset
