Interior Health seeks a Permanent Part Time Clinical Dietitian in Kamloops, BC, to support outpatient nutrition care. You will work with the RIH Diabetes Education Clinic, the Vascular Improvement Program, and traveling outpatient nutrition counselling to remote communities on a rotating schedule.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will assess patients, develop care plans, provide counseling, and contribute to nutrition guidelines and quality initiatives.
We are seeking a Permanent Part Time Clinical Dietitian | Outpatient at Kamloops Public Health in Kamloops, BC.
Days of work: Tuesday to Thursday, every other Friday, Days
Shift times: 08:00 to 16:00, 07:30 to 16:30, 07:00 to 17:00, 08:00 to 14:00
This is an Outpatient Dietitian position working in multiple areas: 1. RIH Diabetes Education Clinic as a Diabetes Educator and Outpatient Dietitian on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. 2. Vascular Improvement Program in the CSB at RIH on Thursdays. 3. Outpatient Nutrition Counselling - Travelling to Clearwater, Barrier, and Chase alternating days once per month.
Applicable positions may qualify for up to $15,000 as a recruitment incentive.
A Relocation Allowance package may be offered with the position.
The Dietitian is a member of a multidisciplinary health care team and provides nutrition care and support to individuals, patients, residents and groups according to established policies, standards and procedures.
Utilizing clinical techniques and knowledge, the Dietitian provides nutrition services through: nutrition assessment; care planning and charting; intervention, goal setting and monitoring; counseling and education programs; consults and communicates with the multidisciplinary care teams; acts as a resource to other health professionals and communities within Interior Health.
The Dietitian provides input to the Professional Practice Leader by participating in the development of nutrition practice guidelines and procedures; research and continuous quality improvement initiatives for the facility and program.
The Dietitian liaises and advises food service staff on patient/resident care issues and menu development.
