Job summary

Nova Scotia Health is seeking a Dietitian for the Northern Zone at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. The Dietitian will provide leadership in nutrition care, advise on diet and food across health sectors, and participate in the Integrated Dietetic Internship program.

Requirements include a Bachelors in Foods and Nutrition, valid registration, and 1 year of dietitian experience. Salary ranges from $37.27 to $51.62 hourly, with $53.42 hourly after 25 years of service; benefits include

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Foods and Nutrition required.
• Current registration with the Nova Scotia Regulator of Dietetics required.
• Minimum one year working experience as a dietitian preferred.
• Inpatient clinical nutrition experience an asset.
• Competency in dysphagia management, enteral and parenteral nutrition.
• Experience counselling patients in an outpatient setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Meditech experience asset.

• Provide competent, safe and ethical professional nutrition care to patients/clients.
• Lead team efforts to support nutritional health and participate in internship program.
• Collaborate with health care team to ensure quality and continuity of care.
• Prioritize, problem solve and manage time in a clinical setting.
