A healthcare provider is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to join their team in Campbell River. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and evaluating nutritional care for patients, advising on dietary needs, and collaborating with healthcare professionals. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition, a recognized dietetic internship, and registration as a Dietitian in BC, along with related experience. This role emphasizes patient and staff safety within the healthcare environment.

Reporting to the Manager Food Services - North Island, the Clinical Dietitian plans, implements, and evaluates nutritional care for hospital-based and/or community-based patients according to guidelines established by the Nutrition Services Department and/or Community Health Programs. Duties and responsibilities include instructing and counseling patients and families regarding appropriate nutritional requirements, clinical diet regimes, and food planning and preparation in accordance with established policies and procedures, professional regulations and Standards of Practice.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And ExperienceBachelor's degree with major credits in Food and Nutrition from a Dietitians of Canada accredited university. Completion of a Dietitians of Canada recognized dietetic internship. Registration with the current licensure in a practicing category with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC as a Dietitian required. Eligible for membership with the Dietitians of Canada (DOC). Two (2) years recent related experience as a practicing Registered Dietitian.
