This is a fieldbased position and the candidate must reside in Greater North East Toronto.

This role will require car travel up to 80% of time.

A DAY IN THE LIFE :

Directly responsible for the promotion and sale of Tandem Diabetes products and clinical services within an assigned territory. The Clinical Diabetes Sales Specialist is expected to plan and ensure achievement of sales goals through clinical education and acceptance of Tandem products insulin pump therapy. Identifies potential customers establishes and develops business relationships to facilitate the sales of Tandem Diabetes products and clinical services. Uses clinical expertise to provide account sales support and continuing education in direct contact to people with diabetes (PWD) physicians and other health care professionals on the technical use of insulin pump therapy and special considerations related to pump therapy in the marketplace in order to generate sales. Promotes Tandem Diabetes products and services by providing additional education on topics such as diabetes selfmanagement skills emergency management and community resources as determined by client needs.

Clinical Diabetes Sales Specialists at Tandem are also responsible for :

  • Partner with the Territory Manager to drive sales growth and support business objectives in the assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare providers (e.g. endocrinologists CDCEs NPs RNs) to support the adoption of Tandem Diabetes products and services.
  • Identify and qualify sales leads using available tools and execute effective strategies to convert prospects into customers.
  • Deliver compelling clinical and product presentations that differentiate Tandems offerings in terms of technology outcomes and patient care.
  • Provide inperson and virtual training to patients caregivers and healthcare professionals on Tandems insulin pump products and diabetes management solutions.
  • Educate customers on industry trends emerging technologies and Tandems role in improving diabetes outcomes.
  • Support onboarding and recertification of Tandem Pump Trainers ensuring consistent and effective product education across the territory.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including Clinical Support and Customer Technical Support to resolve postsale issues and optimize patient satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records and territory activity using CRM tools; complete all required reports and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Attend regional meetings trade shows and corporate trainings to stay aligned with company initiatives and clinical advancements

WHAT YOULL NEED :

  • RN RD or RPH or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
  • Maintenance of registration and licensure through clinical education.
  • Certified Diabetes Educator strongly preferred.
  • Continuing education on patient education on the technical use of insulin pump therapy and special considerations related to pump therapy in the marketplace.
  • 2 years clinical diabetes experience coordinating and conducting diabetes education programs
  • 1year related industry experience preferred in one of the following areas : diabetes endocrinology diabetes technology.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop kneel crouch see talk or hear in a standard office environment and independently from remote locations. Employee may occasionally lift and / or move up to 45 pounds. Ability to travel by car or airplane independently in the field at least 80% of the time and work after hours if required by travel schedule or business issues.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS :

The base pay for this position is $95000.00 $118000.00 annually with a target earning potential of $125000.00 $148000.00 annually. Base pay will vary based on jobrelated knowledge skills experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidates location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay Tandem offers health care benefits such as medical dental and vision Youll also receive 10 paid holidays per year a minimum of 20 days of paid time off (starting in year 1) and have access to a Group RRSP with company match.
