Position: Clinical Counsellor in Post-Traumatic Intervention

Affiliate position (independent worker)

Location: Province of Quebec (Telework - Remote)

Summary:

This role offers the flexibility of working from home with opportunities for in-person engagement and adrenaline-inducing situations. Reporting to the Regional Director of Post-traumatic Support Services, you will respond to client calls following traumatic events, plan interventions, and handle administrative duties. Occasionally, you will travel to scenes to provide debriefing, defusing, or support interventions after major layoffs or restructuring.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform preliminary assessments and support managers in the workplace
  2. Implement post-traumatic interventions with clients and professionals
  3. Provide supervision and consultation as needed
  4. Manage administrative aspects of trauma support services
  5. Travel occasionally to provide interventions after significant events
Minimum Requirements:
  • Masters or PhD in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or Psychoeducation
  • Member in good standing of the relevant professional order in Quebec
  • Fluency in French is mandatory
  • Minimum three years of clinical experience
  • Training in crisis stress management (CISM) and/or EMDR certification
  • Strong crisis management skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent group intervention and communication skills
  • Knowledge of organizational environments and structures
  • Availability for weekday shifts between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.
  • Creativity and flexibility in unforeseen situations
