Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Clinical Care Technician for our Respiratory Care Unit Post Intensive Care Unit III, in our New Brunswick Facility.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Basic Life Support (CPR) through American Heart Association

Preferred:

• Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program
• Certified nursing assistant

Scheduling Requirements:

• Evening Shift, 24 hours per week (3 shifts per week), 3p-11:30p, including every other weekend and holidays.

Essential Functions:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide nursing care, including taking vital signs, EKGs, performing phlebotomy, and bedside care (bathing, mouth care, skin care).
• Provide patient care based on physical, educational, safety, and age-specific criteria.
• Ensure effective and safe patient outcomes through proper practice, judgment, and critical actions.
• Communicate ongoing patient status with patients and nursing colleagues.
• Participate in planning patient care from admission to discharge for safe transition.
