Reporting to the Site Lead, Director Epic Implementation, the Clinical Application Analyst is responsible for the design, configuration, build, testing, and support through the transition of our ERH from Meditech to Epic. This role is part of the HIS project structure, with key responsibilities to design, deliver, and sustain our systems to address both clinical and non-clinical needs, ensuring the HIS is utilized effectively and efficiently in patient care.
Responsibilities include:
- Participate in workflow design, analysis, build, testing, and maintenance tasks associated with Epic software.
- Provide clinical expertise on medication management best practices and ensure solutions in Epic consider clinical needs.
- Analyze, review, and test functionalities in Epic software releases.
- Collaborate with Atlas Alliance and MH-HIS Cluster teams to create future workflows via site visits, meetings, and validation sessions.
- Create and maintain documentation of configuration decisions and builds.
- Identify, document, and troubleshoot issues with HIS team members to find creative solutions.
Leadership:
- Lead and coordinate the implementation of the EMR system in clinical settings, involving all departments and stakeholders, ensuring timelines are met.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Facilitate meetings to discuss deliverables, issues, end-user concerns, and milestones.
- Partner with the Atlas Alliance team to maintain communication and support the hospital's operational needs.
Process Monitoring & Feedback:
- Monitor workflows and procedures through feedback channels.
- Review feedback to adapt processes or organizational structures accordingly.
Other Duties:

Qualifications:
- 4-year post-secondary degree in a Healthcare Profession.
- Registered with a Professional or Clinical Association or College.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience within a hospital setting.
- Ability to learn new software and systems, demonstrating technical aptitude.
- Leadership skills to lead and delegate tasks within the administration team.
- Experience in process conceptualization and procedure development.
- Strong communication skills to direct teams and convey processes.
- Excellent organization skills to coordinate projects and events.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Teams, and SharePoint.
- English language proficiency at level A- in oral, comprehension, reading, and writing; bilingual in French/English is an asset.
