Job description

This position supports the Director of Care through administrative and resident care initiatives to ensure efficient and effective delivery of care within nursing units. The Clinical Office Assistant collaborates with the care team to improve resident care, promotes teamwork, and upholds AgeCare's principles of Trust, Respect, Teamwork, and Quality, respecting resident, family, and staff rights and diversity. This is a 0.73 FTE position, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Responsibilities include managing confidential information, preparing reports, supporting resident admission and discharge processes, maintaining electronic records, participating in surveys and audits, and supporting team communication. The role also involves promoting safety, participating in training, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of healthcare unit experience preferred.
  • Unit Clerk, Medical Office Assistant, or HCA certificate or deemed competency required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Demands

Light physical activity, including lifting up to 20 lbs, walking, and standing for extended periods.

Health & Safety Risks

Includes repetitive strain, chemical exposure, biological hazards, environmental hazards, but no radiation risk.

Occupational Health & Safety

Responsibilities include adhering to safety policies, reporting hazards, maintaining equipment, and participating in hazard identification reviews.
