Qualifications

Position Description:
  • Greet patients and visitors in a welcoming and professional manner.
  • Answer and respond to phone and email inquiries.
  • Schedule sleep testing and other clinic appointments.
  • Manage and maintain multiple daily appointment schedules.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record system.
  • Process billing and assist patients with insurance claims and pre-approvals.
  • Provide support to our patients throughout their diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing follow-up care.
  • Educate patients on proper equipment care and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure timely communication regarding patient care.
  • Sanitize, maintain and prepare medical equipment.
  • Provide support to our Respiratory Therapists and other team members.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support office operations.

Position Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of professional administrative experience is required.
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience is required.
  • Experience with MS Office and the willingness to learn other medical software programs as required for the position.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly Accuro, is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • The ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
  • The ability to be adaptable in an ever-evolving workplace environment.
  • Exceptional organization & time management skills.

Job Type: Full Time/Permanent
Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday
Location: Halifax, NS (with flexibility to work in Dartmouth)
Wage: From $18.50/hour
