Position Summary

As a Clinical Administration team member you will provide administrative support for clinical pharmacy services offered by our team of Clinical Pharmacists. This will include a gained knowledge in medical terminology, medications, the Alberta Government Clinical Framework, as well as telephone communication to contact clients and/or their healthcare representatives. This position will also be managing reception.

Your Day To Day

  • Adjudicate completed clinical services using pharmacy software (Kroll)
  • Electronically file documents into relevant Pharmacist’s folders
  • Run reports, prescription reviews, and med reviews from Kroll/Entry Point and file accordingly
  • Prepare a variety of documents including TMRs, Tamiflu reports, etc. using the pharmacy softwares (Kroll), Netcare, and EntryPoint
  • Deliver Documents to the Clinical Pharmacists in a timely and efficient manner
  • Review patient demographics located in pharmacy software (Kroll) and update accordingly
  • Assisting anticoagulation specialist with warfarin process
  • Responsible for answering and initiating telephone calls in a professional manner
  • Assist with daily billings and prescription/adjudication audits for Auditors and other third-party insurers
  • Other duties will be assigned as required.

What You Will Bring To The Team

  • 1+ years Pharmacy Assistant experience
  • Knowledge of Kroll Pharmacy Systems and Netcare preferred
  • Experience and/or training on medications and medical terminology
  • Experience using basic office technology – Photocopier / scanner / fax
  • Excellent computer knowledge and proficiency - Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe PDF
  • Excellent attention to detail with a quality assurance focus
  • Ability to build and maintain strong team relationships – team player
  • Self-directed and able to work independently
  • Demonstrate reliability and ability to work in a professional setting
