Job Description: Clinic Sonographer

The Clinic Sonographer conducts ultrasound examinations using imaging technology. This role is responsible for interpreting and analyzing ultrasound images to provide comprehensive reports, maintaining patient records, and facilitating effective communication among the healthcare team. Working under direct supervision, the sonographer prepares ultrasound equipment and supplies for patient testing.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform ultrasound examinations: Using advanced imaging technology, capturing clear and detailed images to aid in diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient monitoring.
2. Image analysis and reporting: Interpret and analyze ultrasound images to provide comprehensive reports for physicians to support accurate diagnosis and patient management.
3. Equipment maintenance: Maintain and prepare ultrasound equipment and supplies to ensure optimal performance and image quality.
4. Safety protocols: Adhere to safety standards during procedures to minimize risks and ensure patient safety.
5. Patient care: Address patient concerns, explain procedures, and ensure comfort to enhance patient satisfaction and cooperation.
6. Record keeping: Maintain and review patient records and charts, file test results after physician review to support healthcare delivery.
7. Additional duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of an ultrasound technology program accredited by ARDMS or ARRT.
• Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Licensure/Certification: ARDMS Ultrasound Technologist or ARRT (S) Sonographer certification.
