Overview

Whether you are processing medication refill requests or interacting with patients, you ensure that our patients receive the timely, efficient and compassionate care they deserve. In doing so, you help to fulfill the Legacy mission of making life better for others.

Responsibilities

  1. COMMUNICATION:

    • Consistently meet department timelines for completion of activities.
    • Manage workload effectively and set priorities appropriately.
  3. TECHNICAL COMPETENCE:
    Consistent high quality outcomes are achieved by adherence to established policies and procedures. You will:
    • Demonstrate understanding of and comply with policies and procedures.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of policies and procedures.
  4. QUALITY ASSURANCE (QA)/QUALITY CONTROL (QC)/CONTINUOUS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT (CQI):
    You will support QA, QC, and CQI activities to meet customer needs:
    • Understand and verbalize Legacy Health System (LHS) CQI principles.
    • Identify and meet customers’ needs consistently.
    • Participate in operating unit and LHS CQI efforts.
  5. FACILITIES:
    You will maintain the work environment and equipment to produce safe and effective products:
    • Follow established policies and procedures.
    • Maintain an orderly work environment.
  6. COORDINATION OF SERVICES:
    You will coordinate workflow in the department:
    • Identify potential medication related problems and alert providers.
    • Facilitate communication amongst staff, providers, patients, and families.
  7. PRIORITIZATION OF WORK:
    You will organize and prioritize daily workload:
    • Anticipate critical workload times and manage time to maximize efficiency.
  8. PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR:
    You will maintain the respect and confidence of others:
    • Exhibit professional appearance and conduct.
    • Provide customer service in a prompt and courteous manner.
    • Act as a liaison to communicate departmental information.

Qualifications

  1. EDUCATION:
    High school diploma or equivalent. Current Pharmacy Technician program graduate.
  2. EXPERIENCE:
    Prior pharmacy tech/clerk experience or current pharmacy tech student or program graduate preferred. Experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
  3. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
    Current certification as a pharmacy technician (CPHT) required.
    Current applicable state Pharmacy Technician License (PHARM T) required prior to date of hire and maintained thereafter.

Pay Range

USD $24.12 - USD $34.48 /Hr.
