Job summary

The University of Victoria is seeking a Sustainability Reporting Specialist to lead institutional GHG accounting and reporting, advancing climate and sustainability performance systems across campus. You will ensure data quality, regulatory compliance, and credible public disclosures while collaborating with UVic’s OCPS and other teams.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Climate and Sustainability, you will drive standardized data collection, visualization, and decision-support materials,

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in environmental studies, sustainability, or related field with five years of relevant experience.
Experience with GHG accounting and regulatory reporting.
Strong data governance and data visualization skills.
Proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI is essential.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor institutional GHG accounting and reporting.
Prepare climate and sustainability reports (CCAR, STARS) and related submissions.
Develop standardized data governance and reporting processes across departments.
Translate complex sustainability data into clear communications for senior leadership.
