Waterworth is seeking a Client Success Specialist to join our on-site Victoria, BC office. The role focuses on proactive client success, data-driven financial forecasting, and strategic advisory for municipal clients.
You will collaborate with City Managers, Finance Directors, and Public Works Directors to deliver critical insights for long-term planning. The position emphasizes direct engagement with communities, live presentations for councils, and building lasting relationships in a 100%
Location: Victoria, BC (On-site)
Hours: 7am - 3:30pm (Monday to Friday)
Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000 salary (plus potential bonuses)

We are looking for an articulate communicator with an understanding of accounting or finance who wants to apply themselves. This role goes beyond "customer support", which is typically limited to instructing customers how to use a tool and checking in for the sake of checking.
We believe in a proactive approach to Client Success. This means collaborating closely with communities to navigate complex challenges without causing an affordability and inequity crisis.
Our training program provides you with in-depth insights into municipal government, financial management, SaaS, and Client Success. Rest assured, you won't feel out of your element; we are committed to supporting your development at every stage, with regular check-ins designed to help you thrive.
Utilizing Excel to extract, transform, and load financial, utility, and infrastructure data from local governments into Waterworth. Initiatives for data automation are highly encouraged!
Use your accounting fundamentals and domain knowledge to build and calibrate forward-looking financial models that turn data into visual stories.
Support community growth by partnering with City Managers, Finance Directors, and Public Works Directors (our "Waterworth Champions") to deliver critical insights for their long-term strategic planning.
This includes conducting live online presentations for councils, boards, and the public to aid in informed decision-making.
Earn trust and credibility as a go-to advisor for senior municipal leaders. Your consistency, integrity, and insight will form the backbone of lasting partnerships.
Understand key accounting/finance concepts and you’re excited to apply that knowledge to real-world challenges in public sector contexts.
Must be able to demonstrate experience using spreadsheets to analyze data and build models. Candidates will be tested on their Excel skills during the interview process.
Experience in presenting complex data insights with clarity to key stakeholders.
Demonstrated a commitment to continuous learning from each challenge faced. A "Win or Learn" mindset is the standard here.
Worked in a cross-functional environment, with a collaborative approach to solving business problems.
1+ years of professional experience, with demonstrated experience working in a collaborative, professional environment.
