As a Client Success Manager – Research Security, you will support academic institutions and research clients in Canada, helping them implement and scale research security programs using Strider’s unique tools and insights. You will bring subject-matter expertise in university research operations and deliver client engagement strategies that drive measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Client Journey: Own all phases of the client lifecycle—from contract signature through onboarding, training, business reviews, and renewal.
  • Drive Client Outcomes: Ensure adoption and measurable impact, particularly in research security and compliance-focused environments.
  • Support Expansion: Identify opportunities to grow Strider’s footprint within academic accounts and collaborate with sales on timely upsell strategies.
  • Ethical Leadership: Uphold confidentiality and integrity in all client interactions, maintaining the trust and security that is core to Strider’s mission.
  • Proactive Client Management: Anticipate client needs and challenges, providing solutions before they escalate. Respond quickly to client requests, acting with urgency and professionalism. In every client interaction, we strive to exceed expectations by adhering to the following principles:

Key Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of client success, consulting, or client-facing experience with a proven track record of enabling clients to achieve results.
  • Experience in a university setting working with or within research security, export controls, or research compliance programs.
  • Demonstrated high learning agility and the ability to understand and apply Strider’s unique data products in the academic context.
  • Proven self-starter, who’s comfortable in a fast-paced and sometimes self-directed, startup environment.
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in French is required.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with strong time management and project coordination skills.
  • Available to travel up to 20% for client engagements.
Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications:
  • Experience in research security policy, grant compliance, or academic risk mitigation programs.
  • Previous work with counterintelligence, insider risk, or supply chain risk programs (academic or corporate).
  • Previous sales or demand generation experience.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin, Russian, or Farsi.
