Job summary

AGAT Laboratories is seeking a Client Services Representative for our Environmental Division in Calgary, Alberta. You will be the main client contact, providing technical information, and managing the overall client experience from inquiry through project completion.

The role emphasizes building strong client relationships, coordinating with lab teams, and ensuring timely communications, with a focus on accuracy and quality in all client interactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Science or equivalent relevant experience.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; confident telephone communications essential.
• Patience; customer rapport building skills are essential.
• Effective problem solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Be the main point of contact for clients and provide technical information based on needs.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through meetings, email, and calls.
• Manage work orders: ensure timely delivery of receipts, certificates, exports, and invoices within turn-around times.
• Coordinate with Lab and operations on client projects and reanalysis; update project status with clients.

Summary

AGAT Laboratories is currently looking for a Client Services Representative (CSR) to join our Environmental Division based out of our Calgary, Alberta location. The Client Services Representative (CSR) is responsible for providing clients with technical information based on client needs and administers overall client experience.

What you will be doing

• Strive to employ AGAT’s mission statement of “Service Beyond Analysis” as the main point of contact and liaison for clients regarding laboratory inquiries
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients which includes face to face meetings, email correspondence and phone calls
• Manage customer expectations with respect to all aspects of the work orders in-house by:
  • Ensuring prompt and accurate delivery of sample receipt notifications, certificate of analyses, exports and invoices, which are to be sent within the requested turnaround time (TAT)
  • Communicating when sample integrity issues arise
  • Proactively informing clients when delays with TAT arise in the lab
  • Providing recommendations to management team regarding additional packages/report formats based on customers’ requests
  • Coordinating with Lab and other operations regarding client projects and reanalysis
  • Effectively communicating the status of projects and updates in the laboratory to clients
  • Updating client special instructions in the Client Master File (CMF)
• Participate in team training and development
• Remain current on all aspects of the department

What you bring to the table

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Science or equivalent relevant experience
• Minimum 3years laboratory or customer service experience
• Confident computer skills (Outlook, Microsoft Office and Excel, Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Reporting Systems)
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; confident telephone communications essential
• Patience; customer rapport building skills are essential
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Attention to detail for routine tasks and commitment to quality standards
• Effective problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently under pressure
• Previous Customer Service experience and team-oriented focus is essential
