Allandale Veterinary Hospital is seeking a caring, compassionate, and highly organized animal lover to join our fast-paced, skilled team of veterinary professionals. - Triage client concerns to ensure accurate appointment bookings.
- Efficiently handle incoming phone calls, emails, texts, and faxes.
- Accurately collect payments.
- Book future appointments within the designated time frames.
- Ensure daily reports and tasks are completed on time.
- Admit patients for appointments, surgery, etc.
- Weigh patients upon arrival for appointments.
- Greet both clients and patients by name and provide assistance as needed while maintaining excellent service standards.
- Counsel clients on basic nutrition, pre- and post-operative care, treatment instructions, etc.
- Promote our goods and services to clients.
- Address client concerns or questions, referring to the appropriate Veterinarian or Hospital Supervisor when necessary.
- Accurately place medication and food orders.
- Ensure smooth client and patient flow within the hospital.
- Carry out cleaning duties according to the cleaning checklists.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
- Strong ability to provide empathy, understanding, and emotional support to clients.
- Calm, caring demeanor when interacting with patients.
- Passion for working with all types of animals.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal communication (verbal and written), and telephone etiquette.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Client Services Representative, preferably in the healthcare field (animal or human).
- Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office, Google Chrome, and Outlook.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Desirable Qualifications (but not required; we are happy to train):
- Previous experience (1+ year) in a veterinary hospital.
- Familiarity with Cornerstone software.
- General understanding of medical terminology.
