Responsibilities :

  • Working with the Client Services team, conduct initial assessments and develop personalized care plans for new clients.
  • Maintainregularcommunicationwithclientsandtheirfamiliestoensuresatisfactionwithservices.
  • Superviseandsupportthecaregivingteam,providingguidanceandresolvinganyissuesthatarise.
  • Coordinatewithmedicalprofessionals,therapists,andotherserviceproviderstoensurecomprehensivecare.
  • Monitorandevaluatetheeffectivenessofcareplans,makingadjustmentsasneeded.
  • Manageclientrecords,ensuringaccurateandup-to-dateinformation.
  • Handleclientinquiriesandaddressconcernsinatimelyandeffectivemanner.
  • Providing emotional support to our caregiver team, our clients and their families
  • Participateinrecruitment,training,andevaluationofcaregivers.
  • Promoteacultureofcontinuousimprovementandclient-centeredcarewithintheteam.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and provincial laws, regulations, and Senior Helpers policies.

Qualifications :

  • Minimumof3yearsexperienceinasimilarrolewithintheseniorcareindustry.
  • Strongunderstandingofseniorcarepracticesandregulatoryrequirements.
  • Excellentinterpersonalandcommunicationskills.
  • Abilitytohandlesensitivesituationswithempathyandprofessionalism.
  • Strongorganizationalandproblem-solvingskills.
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Experience with WellSky clientmanagementsoftware would be an asset.

Requirements :

  • Registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
  • Completion of a recognized Health Care Assistant or similar program
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Negative TB testcompleted in the past 90 days
  • A negativeCriminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check issued in the past 90 days
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to work various days / hours, including evenings and weekends
