Hours: 40hours per week

Campus/Location: North Campus; Hybrid

Salary: FT Support Payband I (Start $39.34 – Max $45.59)

About the Client Services Coordinator - Digital Fluency Coordinator Role:

We are seeking an experienced individual for designing, developing, and executing high-quality training programs in partnership with various Faculties and Department within the college. The ideal candidate is extremely collaborative, self-motivated, and able to implement, monitor and enhance with creativity.

Key Responsibilities Include

Develop ideas for exemplar sessions, panels, and communities of practice, selecting appropriate training methods or activities (e.g., simulations, mentoring, presentations, peer support, etc.).

  • Design and develop training programs that meet the needs of the organization
  • Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training
  • Provide support for events and/or the support of onsite training events
  • Research, recommend, design, and implement training and development strategies, plan and execute training to ensure the organization is skilled to meet current and future needs
  • Provide an internal training and development consultation to business units to assist in the identification of the training/development needs of students, staff and faculty – current and future
  • Work with organizations to develop specifications of course content
  • Utilize needs assessment tools to determine applicability of proposed training programs
  • Prepare lesson plans including the method, media, and documentation to be presented
  • Instruct participants in classroom lectures and/or group sessions
  • Provide collaboration & productivity tool development initiatives to improve the capability of teams utilizing collaboration tools and develop methods of assessment of teams’ collaboration & productivity potential
  • Work with external vendors to plan and coordinate logistics for training events
  • Refine or create course outline in conjunction with trainer for course description as appropriate, and minimum course attendance
  • Collaborate on class timeline, communicate forthcoming classes to employees, and ensure appropriate staffing both internally and externally
  • Provide monthly reports to management on KPIs
  • Develop and maintain training materials and curriculum to support the training programs
  • Deliver training sessions to clients and ensure that they are effective and engaging
  • Ensure the quality of the delivery by the team delivering the training and curriculum
  • Provide oversight of training programs and ensure that they meet the needs of the organization
  • Continually review and enhance training programs to ensure that goals are being met and future needs are considered
  • Support marketing and communications efforts related to the training programs

Education

The successful candidate will possess a 3-year Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Experience/Skills

  • Experience in developing training materials and curriculum
  • Experience in group facilitation or delivering presentations and comfortable interacting in a dynamic training situation; previous training experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in delivering training sessions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
