The Client Service Specialist (CSS) supports Relationship Managers by providing seamless service to new and existing clients. The CSS acts as the primary contact, coordinating with internal partners and directly engaging with clients to gather key information for onboarding and ongoing banking needs. This role focuses on servicing all segments within Commercial Banking Distribution.

Responsibilities include resolving client inquiries, educating clients on processes, managing expectations, and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies. The CSS contributes to the success of the Commercial Bank in Canada by executing team strategies and initiatives effectively.

In this role, you will:
  1. Resolve client inquiries, educate customers on processes, and manage expectations regarding service timelines.
  2. Deliver quality customer experiences while adhering to SLAs and escalating issues when necessary.
  3. Ensure consistent client experiences aligned with Scotiabank's service standards, resolving concerns efficiently.
  4. Foster a customer-focused culture to build and deepen client relationships and leverage bank resources.
  5. Collect and verify client information for risk assessment and regulatory compliance.
  6. Coordinate with departments to activate and support client accounts during initial and ongoing usage.
  7. Educate clients on banking channels and tools, addressing questions and ensuring comfort with services.
  8. Consider the bank’s risk appetite and culture in daily activities and decisions.
  9. Maintain operational excellence in accordance with bank values, policies, and compliance obligations.
  10. Promote a high-performance and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications:
