Job summary

Apex Group in Mississauga, Canada, is seeking a seasoned client relationship leader for Hedge Fund clients. You will own relationship management, cross-sell services, and oversee US GAAP and IFRS reporting for diverse fund structures, ensuring timely delivery and compliance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in funds or asset servicing, strong leadership and client-service focus, and an accounting qualification.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in fund services or asset servicing.
• Understanding of complex fund structures and fund accounting to act as SME to team.
• Strong commercial awareness and client service focus.
• Prior experience in the industry.
• Leadership skills and supervisory experience.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; can work on own initiative.
• Good interpersonal skills for stakeholder relationships.
• Accounting qualification a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to automate processes.
• Knowledge of investor KYC and AML requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead client relationship management for Hedge Fund clients.
• Actively cross-sell our suite of services to our client base.
• US GAAP & IFRS reporting for various fund structures.
• Assist in developing new and existing global client relationships, optimizing service offerings, productivity and profitability.
• Manage the complete audit process.
• Assist in NAV preparation and review for Hedge Fund clients.
• Ensure adherence to documented procedures and policies.
• Work on integration of large fund administration mandates.
• Collaborate with operational centres.
• Work on ad hoc internal and global projects as required.
• Ensure all deliverables are met on time and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Lead the client relationship management for Hedge Fund clients
• Actively cross selling our suite of services to our client base
• US GAAP & IFRS reporting standard for various fund structures
• Assisting in the development of new & existing global client relationships, optimizing service offerings, productivity and profitability
• Management of the complete audit process
• Assist in the management of the NAV preparation and review process for our Hedge Fund clients
• Ensuring adherence to documented procedures and policies
• Work on the integration of large fund administration mandates
• Collaborating with operational centres
• Working on ad hoc internal and global projects (as required)
• Ensure all deliverables are met on a timely and accurate basis

Skills Required

• Approximately 5+ years’ experience
• An understanding of complex fund structures and fund accounting to act as subject matter expert to team
• A high degree of commercial awareness and client service focus
• Prior experience working in the industry
• Strong leadership skills and supervisory experience of other professionals
• Excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to work on own initiative consistently producing accurate and timely work
• Good interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with colleagues, clients, other divisions and professional intermediaries
• A professional accounting qualification a plus
• Demonstrated ability to automate processes
• Knowledge of investor KYC and AML requirements

Salary ranges from CAD $80,000.00 – CAD $120,000.00 plus additional discretionary yearly bonus based on corporate and individual's performance. Compensation within this range is dependent on individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
