The role of receptionist is to help the Montreal team in their daily tasks and to act as a one-stop-shop for customer service. The receptionist liaises and maintains strong relationships with current and potential clients, as well as their custodians, trust companies and brokers.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
Main receptionist in Montreal Office
Works from the office 5 days a week
Ensure reception always has someone to greet clients and answer phones
Open reception Montreal at 8:30 am every day
Close switchboard and lock up reception at 5 pm (end of day)
Picking up, opening, distributing, stamping & delivering mail (courier and regular mail)
Schedule conference room reservations for meetings
Responsible for cleanliness/tidiness of reception, boardrooms, mailing room & kitchens
Order and keep inventory of supplies
File closed accounts
Printing and binding books/reports for client meetings or other staff
Replace the backup receptionist when necessary
Other tasks as requested by management
Education & Experience:
DEC Cegep/College degree (Administrative degree)
1-3 years of work experience in a similar role
Investment industry experience (Brokerage, Investment Management or Trust Company) is advantageous
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:
Strong knowledge of Excel and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Innovative and eager for involvement in news projects and initiatives
Strong customer service
Proactive and professional when managing customer issues
Reliable, with a good sense of judgment
Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English and French
High levels of self-motivation and self-discipline
High-level of attention to detail and accuracy
Punctual
