Position: Client Relationship Manager, Canadian Commercial Banking - Barrie, Ontario
Purpose

Contribute to the success of Canadian Commercial Banking by executing specific goals, plans, and initiatives aligned with business strategies. Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.

The CRM understands financial products and services, focusing on delivering comprehensive banking solutions and fostering client relationships. Responsible for managing a client portfolio of moderate complexity, developing sales pipelines, engaging in client planning, and qualifying opportunities based on client needs and due diligence. The role targets clients with annual sales between $5MM-$15MM and credit needs from $1MM-$5MM.

Accountabilities
  1. Customer Focus: Deepen client relationships, leverage bank resources, and promote a customer-centric culture.
  2. Business Development: Develop marketing strategies, identify prospects, prioritize opportunities, and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
  3. Market Profile Building: Engage with local market and economic conditions, participate in community events, and expand professional networks.
  4. Relationship Management: Maintain ongoing client engagement, partner with credit and service teams, and utilize bank products effectively.
  5. Credit Portfolio Management: Collaborate with Credit Solution Associates on credit decisions up to $5MM, ensure proper documentation, and monitor for early problem identification.
  6. Operational Excellence: Adhere to operational guidelines, risk appetite, and compliance standards, ensuring effective controls and conduct risk management.
Dimensions

Clients are mainly Canadian-based, with some international operations. The role involves managing both borrowing and non-borrowing clients, requiring strong relationship and communication skills. Interaction with internal partners across various banking sectors and external professionals is essential. The environment is fast-paced, demanding flexibility and prioritization.

Education

Undergraduate degree in business or economics, or equivalent work experience. Additional training as required by the bank.
