Job summary

Manulife Canada Retirement invites applications for a CRM-focused role focused on relationship management, service delivery, and post-sale support for a block of corporate clients. The role emphasizes proactive client service, plan changes coordination, and collaboration with sponsors/advisors and internal teams.

The successful candidate will have pension industry experience, an undergraduate degree, and strong numerical skills; CEBS or RPA designations are advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the Canadian pension industry.
  • Undergraduate degree in business, economics, or finance.
  • Knowledge of group retirement and non-registered savings plans.
  • Understanding of pension and investment regulations and legislation.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude is preferred.
  • CEBS would be an asset.
  • RPA designation or willingness to obtain within 3 years.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the client’s business needs and build strong client relationships through proactive service and accurate handling of requests.
  • Participate as a supporting member of the pre-sale process for Pension products and services.
  • Participate in installation by working with Plan Sponsors, Consultants/Advisors and Head Office Implementation Team.
  • Participate in projects as required.
  • Conduct Plan Administrator training.
  • Provide service according to the Canada Retirement service model.
  • Provide on-going service improvement recommendations.
  • Support the Plan Sponsor with fulfilling Plan Governance guidelines.
  • Participate in pension committee and investment review meetings.
  • Proactively search and work to increase assets and nurture client relationships.
  • Provide support to Financial Education teams for ongoing education needs.

Job description

This is an opportunity to join theCanada Retirement team at Manulife. The CRM is a key field office relationship management role supporting the overall client experience and retention of corporate clients at their place of business. The CRM is accountable to support the sales team by participating in formal and informal presentations promoting our capabilities and services to both new and existing clients. While accountable to support the sales team, this is not a sales position.

CRM will interact with plan sponsors and plan consultants/advisors explaining our products, tools and services. The incumbent is also responsible for plan changes working with other teams to facilitate amendments, fund changes, fee negotiations and education needs for the management of an existing block of business through post-sale service satisfaction, resulting in high client retention for Canada Retirement.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Understand the client’s business needs and build strong client relationships through effective and proactive service along with efficient and accurate handling of reactive requests

Salary range is expected to be between

$85,300.00 CAD - $135,300.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
