We are seeking a Client Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income to lead the commercialization of the suite of Pender Fixed Income strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of Pender's products as it supports both internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will have experience in developing thought leadership and supporting sales teams in building and maintaining client relationships. This role will be based out of Vancouver or Toronto and will report to the CEO.

Main Responsibilities Include :

  • Deliver and execute communication and thought leadership plans, collaborating with portfolio managers, sales, marketing and product teams.
  • Provide support to the retail sales / client service process by presenting portfolio updates.
  • Provide technical sales support for current and prospective clients, providing expertise on the product lineup and ensuring clear communication that results in client retention and sales conversion.
  • Provide guidance and insight to support the internal department in their development of external collateral and commentary for existing clients and prospects.
  • Support the investment strategy content and due diligence, contributing to DDQ's and RFI's.
  • Act as an extension of the Fixed Income Investment team, acting as a thought partner and intermediary between the Fixed Income team and internal departments.
  • Support and retain existing clients by attending in person meetings, conference calls and investment meetings as needed in place of portfolio managers.

Skills and Qualifications :

  • 5 + years of relevant experience in asset management.
  • Robust understanding of fixed income investments and experience in client facing roles.
  • Portfolio Management experience an asset.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Exceptional client service / relationship building skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to think strategically and independently.

We are sharing that the estimated salary range for this position is $150,000 - $180,00 per year. In determining final salary, Pender considers many factors including the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, job responsibilities, market conditions, position location and internal equity. Our aim is to ensure fair compensation practices that align with industry standards while acknowledging the unique value and expertise each individual brings to the role. The final base salary for the offer will be presented as part of a competitive compensation package.
