Overview

Client: NFP (an Aon company). Business Line: Commercial Lines, Small/Medium Enterprise Business. Hours Per Week: 35 (Full-Time). Location: Ontario - Hybrid Setting. Job Duration: Full-Time, Permanent. Compensation: Salary + Commission + Performance Bonuses based on commission targets.

Role: Account Executive/Producer to join the award-winning Business Insurance division for Ontario clients. The Account Executive will leverage industry knowledge and experience to initiate and develop new commercial lines relationships for Small Market Business.

What You’ll Do
  • Work in a fast-paced environment to quote commercial leads generated from various sources on the same day as received or, worst case, the next business day.
  • Develop submissions (in conjunction with commercial lines underwriting staff) to markets that meet the client’s present and emerging needs and close the sale.
  • Hand off responsibility for provision of service to clients to the relevant Account Manager in the service teams.
  • Field customer service requests (especially post-sale) and ensure completion by oneself or by referral to the service Account Manager to maintain high customer service standards.
  • Develop a cross-selling protocol that enables integrated selling with all commercial sales to other lines of business.
  • Meet and/or exceed individual sales targets as well as department goals.
  • Maintain professional and collaborative relationships with key underwriters.
  • Resolve concerns or complaints professionally by leveraging product and service knowledge.
  • Quote new prospects using NFP’s IRCA quoter as well as ARS or Company Portals if required.
  • Represent the brokerage at industry functions when required.
  • Stay current on industry changes, underwriting rules and workflow processes.
What You Bring
  • Valid RIBO License Required; AB General 1 would be considered an asset (other provincial licenses are a plus).
  • Technical knowledge of IRCA (Individually Rated Commercial Auto).
  • Typically, 3+ years of commercial lines or personal lines sales experience.
  • Knowledge of risks associated with Small-Market business.
  • Proven track record in insurance sales.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for sales and a commitment to delivering a top-notch client experience.
  • Self-managing with strong analytical, organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
  • Confident, poised and interactive when client-facing; communicates effectively, demonstrates emotional intelligence, and tailors responses in dynamic situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong team player with the ability to adapt to and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven technical competency and creativity in developing and delivering innovative property and casualty solutions.
  • Prior experience in lead management software or CRM platforms such as Salesforce would be an asset.
  • Excellent computer skills; knowledge of Applied EPIC is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite – Word, Excel and Outlook.
