As a Commercial Insurance Associate, you will apply your attention to detail and excellent client service skills while working closely with Producers and Marketers on our Commercial accounts. Your role involves building long-term client relationships by assisting with inquiries and requests related to policies and coverage insurers.

A day in the life -

1. Assist producers and marketers with servicing commercial accounts
2. Meet client needs and process documentation such as Certificates of Insurance, Cover Notes, Renewals, Proposals, Endorsements, Policies, Invoicing, Contracts, and Correspondence
3. Review and verify the accuracy of policy documentation from insurers before forwarding to clients
4. Contact clients for renewal information
5. Handle client calls, answer questions on coverage, and process online quotes
6. Negotiate coverage and pricing with insurers to meet client needs in collaboration with the producer
7. Update client information as changes occur
8. Respond to account-related questions from clients, lawyers, and banks
9. Provide policy and coverage information upon request
10. Support the floater position with assigned duties

What you will bring to our team -

• Level 2 Insurance License or willingness to obtain
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency
• Team-oriented with a desire to contribute
• Minimum one year of commercial insurance experience as an Insurance Advisor
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and a self-starter
• Strong customer service skills to deliver positive client experiences
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Industry designations (CIP, CAIB, CRM, BCIT Risk Management Diploma) are assets

Salary Expectations –

The expected salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000, influenced by skills, experience, location, and specific business line. HUB offers comprehensive benefits and total compensation packages, including health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid time off, bonuses, and commissions where applicable.
