Qualifications

  • Previous customer service or front desk experience in hospitality or retail is an asset.
  • No experience with animals required, love for animals is essential.
  • Ability to manage a multiline phone system and handle appointment scheduling.

Client Care Coordinator Location: Ottawa, ON Part-time position

Alta Vista Animal Hospital located in Ottawa., ON., currently welcoming a Client Coordinator to join our team. This is an exceptional, flexible part-time opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to join us in a very important support role for the entire hospital. In this role, you will help our clients, and their pets feel welcomed and appreciated!

  • Create a warm and welcoming environment for our patient and pet parents

  • Ability to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively

  • Placing outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and future appointment bookings

  • Respond and manage email correspondence; clients, referring veterinarians & internal office messages

  • Admitting and discharging pet patients

  • Invoicing/billing; creating estimates, obtaining pet owner confirmation and processing payments

  • Scheduling appointments

  • Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting people at ease and creating a welcoming environment

  • General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas and common areas

  • Willingness to learn more regarding; veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assisting the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments

  • Previous customer service or front desk experience in hospitality or retail is an asset!

  • No experience with animals, no problem, so long as you love animals!

About us: Alta Vista Animal Hospital is located in Ottawa, ON., and is a growing multidisciplinary hybrid hospital with Referral, Emergency, and General Practice services all under the same roof. Our board-certified specialists provide care in ophthalmology, cardiology, oncology, and Internal Medicine and have access to on-site MRI and CT diagnostics. With a dedicated staff of 160, including 30 veterinarians, we offer excellence in veterinary medicine because we are passionate about what we do! We are located at 2616 Bank Street, 20 minutes south of the vibrant downtown Ottawa Market and operate out of a 24,500 square foot facility. We have a large referring veterinarian community of over 300 General practice and Emergency hospitals. A full suite of on-site diagnostic imaging includes a Toshiba Aquilion 64 slice CT, .25T Vet MR MRI, Pulsera Fluoroscopy unit, Philips ultrasound and echocardiogram and two Sound digital radiograph suites.
