Job description

Jones DesLauriers is hiring for an experienced commercial insurance broker who is committed to delivering excellent customer service with a focus on account retention on an assigned book of business. The Client Associate will play a central role in renewing existing accounts by serving JDIMI clients, assessing, and fulfilling their insurance needs to the highest standards of satisfaction. The role involves determining customer needs, negotiating coverages and terms, responding to inquiries, and processing transactions. The successful candidate will have previous experience at the Client Coordinator level and seek more challenges and authority over their book of business.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle a book of business with premiums up to approximately $500,000.
  • Maintain a retention rate of 95% on renewal accounts.
  • Manage renewal lists at 120 days prior to policy renewal.
  • Follow up on and collect accounts receivables weekly.
  • Respond to client inquiries and support Client Managers.
  • Market and communicate client accounts to insurers.
  • Handle claims inquiries from clients.
  • Attend client and insurer meetings as needed.
  • Issue certificates of insurance within 24 hours for assigned Client Managers.
  • Generate and issue liability slips, renewals, endorsements, and new business documents.
  • Process documents related to renewals, endorsements, and new business.
  • Manage premium finance contracts and allocations.
  • Generate applications and forms, following up as needed.
  • Maintain and update premium comparisons and summaries.
  • Perform Auto Quotes on Compu-Quote when required.
  • Manage the abeyance system effectively.
  • Create policy binders for clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of commercial insurance experience.
  • A.M.F license.
  • C.I.P. or C.A.I.B. designation(s) preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and analytical skills.
  • Self-starter with excellent written and oral communication skills and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and EPIC.
