Client Advisor - Cantonese Speaking - Downtown Toronto

We are hiring multiple candidates for this position across various branch locations in the Greater Toronto Area. The role requires full availability during RBC's retail branch hours, including extended hours until 8:00 PM from Monday to Saturday and on Sundays as applicable. The position offers an hourly work arrangement based on branch needs, guaranteeing a minimum of 20 hours and up to 37.5 hours per week. Apply today!

What is the opportunity?

This role leverages your client-focused sales expertise and problem-solving skills to maximize each client interaction. You will assist clients with their everyday banking needs, demonstrate RBC values as an ambassador, and collaborate with RBC partners to help clients achieve their financial goals. Your contributions will create meaningful and memorable client experiences, enhancing satisfaction and loyalty.

What will you do?

  • Engage proactively with clients in the branch and community, uncovering banking needs, providing advice, and identifying sales opportunities
  • Focus on client education and demonstration, utilizing technology to deliver memorable experiences, drive sales, and retain clients
  • Respond to client-initiated contact, assisting with a full range of financial transactions
  • Listen actively to understand clients' individual needs
  • Take ownership of resolving and preventing banking issues
  • Build and maintain relationships with partners to maximize business opportunities and referrals

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Verbal fluency in Cantonese
  • Passion for client service and success in target-driven sales environments
  • Problem-solving and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships
  • Flexibility, eagerness to learn, strong ethics, and a drive for success
  • Digital literacy across devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.)
  • Availability to work all business hours

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in building client rapport within financial or service industries
  • Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course)
