This position reports to the CPIC Supervisor and involves terminal operation and clerical work related to the provision and receipt of information processed within the Canadian Police Information Center (CPIC) system. Responsibilities include operating CPIC, JUSTIN, and PRIME computer systems; coding and typing information and requests; and relaying incoming data to appropriate recipients. Ensuring all entries are processed accurately and promptly is essential.
The employee will liaise with internal and external contacts, including provincial and federal crown and court registries, courts, policing agencies, probation offices, and ministries across Canada. They will respond to inquiries, provide CPIC data to authorized individuals, and ensure all information complies with CPIC, RCMP, and departmental policies and standards. The role also involves generating occurrence files in PRIME, performing UCR scoring and coding, and maintaining CPIC data quality.
Pay Rate: $29.48 per hour + 12% in lieu of benefits (2024 rates).
Hours of Work: Auxiliary position, hours vary based on operational needs, typically Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
