Position OverviewUnder the general direction of the Administrative Services Manager, the incumbent is responsible for assisting with the effective, efficient provision of clerical support for the department. Duties include:
- Acting as receptionist for the area, receiving incoming telephone calls, taking and relaying messages, greeting and directing patients, visitors and staff.
- Ordering and preparing patient charts for Mental Health ambulatory care clinics.
- Scheduling patient appointments.
- Miscellaneous clerical duties.
Experience- Six months previous related experience required.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)- Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
- Successful completion of a recognized secretarial training program preferred.

Qualifications And Skills- Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
- Typing 40 wpm required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word) required.
- Knowledge of the EPR system preferred.
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements- Due to the nature of the work in the department, the incumbent must be able to deal with difficult situations that may arise when in contact with patients and/or the public.
- Must be able to lift chart bins easily.
