Embark on a rewarding career with Sobeys Inc., celebrated among Canada’s Top 100 employers, where your talents contribute to our commitment to excellence and community impact.

A proudly Canadian company with more than 100 years in the food business, Sobeys Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Empire Company Limited, headquartered in Stellarton, Nova Scotia. The Sobeys name is synonymous with quality and passion. Now we’ve brought it to liquor stores across Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan. Here’s how: in 1993, the Alberta Provincial Government announced the privatization of the liquor retail industry. Capitalizing on this important change, we launched Western Cellars, which opened its first location in Spruce Grove in November 1995. In 2014 Sobeys Liquor acquired Safeway Wine & Spirits. Since then, we’ve grown steadily to over 100 locations across British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan.

We have an immediate opportunity for a customer driven, community engaged and results oriented individual to join our team as a Liquor Clerk. This role is critical to providing a superior shopping experience by interacting with customers in an enthusiastic, solution focused and knowledgeable approach. Ensuring stock is replenished on shelves, process sales at the register and adhering to all Liquor policies and procedures are critical to success in this position.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience providing exceptional service
• Strong desire to learn new skills
• Ability to follow procedures and policies regarding the sale of Liquor
• Willing to support other teammates

What you have to offer:

• Willing to comply with regulatory requirements and company policies
• Passion for customer service and community involvement
• Must be of legal age to sell Liquor products
