Job Description

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority, patient safety is a priority and a shared responsibility. The continuous improvement of quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

Reporting to the Coordinator, Support Services or delegate, the successful candidate will perform a variety of complex booking, clerical, and receptionist duties, including:

  1. Receiving and processing outpatient requisitions for procedures from physicians' offices
  2. Entering patient information into the Radiology Information System (RIS)
  3. Checking in patients for scheduled appointments
  4. Managing digital Medical Imaging images
  5. Printing and communicating test results
  6. Assisting technical staff with patient lifting and positioning
  7. Answering phones, mailing, and filing
Qualifications: Education, Training, and Experience

Grade 12 education and two years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
