Job summary

Sobeys Inc. is hiring for a Production Line Personnel at Safeway in Vancouver, BC. No experience is required, but experience in food production is an asset.

You will place ingredients on bread, apply labels, and ensure products are processed efficiently while working in a team. The role involves lifting up to 40 pounds, standing constantly, and following safety standards including WHMIS and GMPs. Weekend, day, and night shifts may be required.

Working on the production linerequires good dexterity and the ability to assemble small items at a fast pace while maintaining accurateingredient weights on all products. Working on an assembly line requires that you be comfortableworking with others, coordinating with them, and following instructions. This position does require somelifting and you must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. Accuracy and maintaining a steady pace are integralto this position.

• Previous food production experience is an asset

• Constant lifting and carrying of less than 10 pounds
• Constant standing
• Constant reaching below shoulder level
• Constant gripping and use of production materials
• Occasional bending and twisting
• Occasional lifting or carrying of up to 40 pounds including waist level and low level lifts
• Ability to handle a cool working environment of 1 to 4 degrees Celsius
