Reporting to the Manager ‑ NICU and Maternity Centre, the Clerk II for the Maternity Centre will be the first contact for
all prenatal and postpartum patients attending the Centre for appointments. The Clerk II will monitor the office
operations of the Maternity Centre including, filing, scheduling, maintaining patient records, maintaining accurate
statistical records, and ordering and stocking of office supplies. He/She will also provide administrative assistance to
obstetrical care providers, coordinator and the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications:

* Secondary School graduation diploma required
* Certification in, or demonstrated Medical terminology proficiency
* Administrative and computer skills to include spreadsheets, word processing and data base applications (MS Word,
Excel, Publisher,Outlook)
* Knowledge of Meditech and MYLE required
* Experience generating technical reports from multiple databases
* Demonstrated computer and keyboarding skills – 55wpm
* Medical Administrative Assistant certification or equivalency an asset
* Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills
* Superior interpersonal communication skills (verbal, written, keyboard, telephone)
* Positive attitude and collaborative approach to multidisciplinary colleagues
* Knowledge and understanding of different models of care delivery
* Highly motivated and organized individual with the ability to prioritize activities independently
* Excellent problem solving ability related to technical systems and potential process flow improvements

Specialized training in N Compass through Ontario Telehealth Network; knowledge of telehealth equipment and
facilitating broadcasts to the region

Salary Range: $25.528 to 26.178
