The Grocery Clerk is responsible for performing the full range of duties professionally, accurately, and timely. The Clerk will deliver excellent customer service, foster loyalty, meet customer needs, and contribute to an engaging environment for employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, SOPs, Health and Safety policies, and other initiatives.
• Order, receive, and merchandise stock according to inventory control procedures.
• Provide outstanding customer service.
• Promote featured products to increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the work area.
• Prepare customer orders as needed.
• Manage department shrinkage.
• Assist in training junior staff.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Physical ability to lift up to 20 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and reaching.

Note: Sobeys requires staff to work in a hybrid model, with presence at an office location at least three days a week.
