In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority, patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at VIHA; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Reporting to the Manager or designate, maintains computerized database systems for a variety of areas within Diabetes Education Services, by utilizing database, spreadsheet, and query software tools. Determines appropriate format, sets up and enters data as required. Types a variety of technical and non-technical items such as correspondence, manuals, memos, and reports using word processing and presentation software. Performs reception and clerical support duties such as answering the phone, scheduling appointments, maintaining files and timekeeping functions for the Services.
Grade 12, medical terminology and 2 years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
