A Day In The Life Of a Courtesy Clerk

As a customer, you understand the importance of fast, accurate, and friendly checkout service. Courtesy Clerks play a vital role by bagging groceries and assisting customers to their cars, contributing to store success. Experience is not required as training is provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Uphold and comply with company procedures, standards, and policies
• Greet customers politely and friendly
• Demonstrate superior customer service in line with Safeway’s programs
• Wrap and bag merchandise
• Maintain cleanliness of the store's front end
• Collect and return shopping carts
• Assist with store product returns
• Carry out groceries for customers
• Sweep floors
• Perform price checks as needed

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to learn quickly
