POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Field Supervisor – Concessions, prepares and serves food & beverages to the public and assists with the operation of concessions.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides superior customer service in preparing and serving food, beverage and concession items to the public.
  • Receives payments, deposits daily revenue, and completes daily cash summary sheets; ensures daily deposits and float are balanced.
  • Assists with maintaining concession stock and stock records, which may include monitoring stock spoilage, ordering, receiving, and transferring stock.
  • Keeps the concession area clean and tidy.
  • May be required on occasion to perform Field Supervisor - Concession duties.
  • Performs such other related duties as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum grade 10 education, together with previous experience handling cash, preferably in a food and beverage setting
  • Safe food handling certification along with previous experience working in a food service operation is preferred

Skills/Abilities:

  • Musts have good customer service and communication skills and be courteous and tactful in dealing with the public
  • Ability to practice good lifting, safety, and sanitation techniques
  • Ability to function and contribute as an effective team member and to work independently
  • Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act as it applies to this work

Assets:

  • Ontario Smart Serve preferred

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Must undergo a successful Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC)
  • Will be required to work evenings, weekends and irregular shifts
