The Opportunity

Company, Department: Nova Scotia Power, ED Procurement & Real Estate

Location: Various Locations, Nova Scotia, CA (Halifax, Sackville and Sydney)

Type of Employment: Regular, Full-time

Closing Date: May 7th, 2025

We are currently looking for a Billing Clerk to join our Finance team, reporting to the Procurement Finance Manager.


Key elements of this role include:


  • The Billing Clerk will be accountable for processing customer billing information, analyzing billing data, and providing resolution to billing issues.

  • You will be accountable for updating and maintenance of specific reporting data in a timely manner. Good judgment, initiative, confidentiality, work ethic, and the ability to meet deadlines are of prime importance.

  • You will be required to perform at a high level of competency and independence.

  • You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of your co-workers by observing all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.


These skills will make you successful:


  • This position requires office administration training and a minimum of two years of experience.
  • You must be proficient with data entry and various Microsoft packages (Excel/Word/Outlook).
  • You are a detail-oriented individual, working to a high standard. You possess strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • You are extremely organized, with a strong ability to multi-task. You are able to take initiative and troubleshoot both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written, and computer) are required.
  • You must demonstrate your commitment to personal development.
