About The Opportunity

The Clerk B is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the Operating Room in its communications with other departments and support to the nurses and medical staff. They must be able to handle multiple demands and priorities in a busy and unpredictable environment.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • One year related clerical experience, or successful completion of a recognized one year secretarial/office/business program
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Experience with HSM / STAR / PHS / Portal / Share preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products – Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Data entry experience
  • Minimum typing speed of 40 wpm
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize duties in a fast paced environment
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
  • Skills testing may be performed for this position.

Hours

  • Permanent, Full-Time position; 70 hours bi-weekly

Compensation And Benefits

$23.35 - $25.39 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
