Job Profile
Under the general oversight of the Senior Clerk, Fuel, Rentals & Insurance, and formal supervision from the Business Liaison Officer, the Clerk – Fuel, Rentals & Insurance is responsible for performing a variety of administrative/clerical functions as well has physical inspection on rental equipment in support of the Winnipeg Fleet Management Agency Fuel, Rentals & Insurance Division. These responsibilities include front-line customer service, reviewing and processing invoices, reviewing and ensuring insurance requirements are met, and performing data entry and general clerical duties.
As the Clerk B - Fuel, Rentals & Insurance, you will:
- Provide Front Line Customer Service
- Process Invoices
- Review and ensure that Insurance Requirements are met
- Perform Data Entry and other general Clerical Duties
Your Education And Qualifications Include
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two (2) years’ experience working in a customer service role, supporting a variety of internal and external stakeholders/customers/clients.
- Experience reconciling customer billings, invoices, and identifying and resolving errors.
- Experience working with accounting software/systems.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- Experience working with rental vehicles is an asset.
- Experience working with PeopleSoft Finance module is an asset.
- Ability to assess vehicles within the Class 5 classification for pre/post trip inspections.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks among many competing requests.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to enter data accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work under minimal supervision, and the ability to exercise sound judgement
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability and willingness to work with staff, supervisors, and other department personnel and vendors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to complete accurate calculations.

Conditions Of Employment

- A police Information check satisfactory to the employer will be required from the applicant or successful candidate at their expense.
- Must provide and maintain a valid Manitoba Class 5 driver’s license.
- Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position, including being able to bend, crouch, lift and carry up to 30 lbs, and operate all vehicles within the Class 5 driver’s license classification.
- Must be able to perform duties of the position outdoors and in all weather conditions.
