About the Opportunity

Under the direction of the Health Services Manager, the Clerk contributes to the effective operation of the nursing unit by acting as the central communication person for the unit. The Clerk performs reception, clerical and administrative duties following hospital policies and procedures while maintaining a high standard of maturity and discretion in handling confidential matters.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade XII plus one year of related experience or graduate of a recognized one year secretarial/business program
  • General office skills an asset
  • Knowledge of medical terminology an asset
  • STAR Registration preferred
  • PHS booking preferred
  • Experience with data entry into Time Capture preferred
  • Experience with CVIS database entry preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm during an emergency and deal with numerous interruptions and continuous change an asset
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates problem solving and decision making skills
  • Competencies in other languages preferred; French an asset

Compensation and Incentives

$20.09 - $21.91 Hourly
