Looking for someone with Floral experience to run the department while our Operator is on medical leave. Must be a quick learner with artistic skills and great customer engagement.

A day in the life of an All Purpose Clerk:

As a customer yourself, you know how important helpful service is. The impression shoppers get at the front end of the store is key to building customer loyalty. So too is maintaining a well-stocked store (for both the Grocery and Produce sections) so that the customer shopping experience is quick, easy and efficient. That is why our All Purpose Clerks play such an important role in the success of our stores. Full training is provided for this position.

Experience

Key Responsibilities

• Upholds and complies with company procedures, standards and policies in all situations
• Greets customers in a polite and friendly manner
• Demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with Safeway’s programs
• Processes cash register payments by cash, cheque, credit card, gift card and debit
• Wraps and places merchandise in bags / carts
• Maintains cleanliness of check stands
• Stocks products to shelves such as Dairy, Frozen, perishable (produce) and non-perishables
• Maintains and builds merchandise displays in compliance with Safeway programs
• Rotates product
• Loads and unloads product for the sales floor
• Manages backroom and inventory
• Any other duties as assigned by the Store Manager

• Occasional crouching, kneeling, squatting
